Actions for Your Home
Start at home to get some experience under your belt and the creative ideas rolling. The most effective actions fit into the categories of food, buildings, transportation, energy, and consumer ethics. Stay focused on these areas, and don't sweat the small stuff.

Actions for Your Neighborhood
Once you have done some experimenting and actions at home, you can begin to work in your neighborhood. It is important to build friendships and get to know one another before starting. Make an effort to connect and listen to people different from yourself and especially neighbors who may not often get heard.
Once you have experience at the neighborhood level, you are ready to really push it out into your city, town, or county. Through networking and the friendships that you have been building, form a small dedicated group of people ready to take on actions described below. Just three to five people working together with passion, persistence, and positive energy can do amazing things.
